sleep talker.

so as many of you now know, kristen talks in her sleep.
i find it so funny because ive never known anyone who talks in their sleep!
but anyways, she hasn't talked in forever....till last night, hallelujah!
2am
kristen: "well are you going on the Indian Jones ride with me or not!?"
(ive learned that its way funnier when you talk back to her)
jacquie: "well sure i guess but why are you going?"
kristen: *a few seconds later* "because it has solar panels now!"
jacquie: "do you like solar panels?"
kristen: "i dont even know what they are..."
jacquie: "HAHAHA"
oh hi, this is us.

 she just cracks me up!

oh my.

jacquie and i just watched never back down. oh my heck, that was a good movie, i was impressed. we highly suggest it. it is like a modern day karate kid, with more intense fight scenes and a black mr miyagi. and the soundtrack rocks.

not only is it a good movie, but there are some dang fine men in that movie. "oh yeah! keep that shirt off, holla back!"

need i say more? no.

we've also decided that sean faris is a mix between tom cruise and christian bale...
this

plus this

equals this.

anyways, watch never back down, it rocks.

gator. jacks.

so there's a little place called Gator Jack's aka Heaven on Earth!

it's like a swamp!
Kristen and I love that place. so much. Best sandwiches ever. I HIGHLY recommend it (to anyone who lives in rexburg/rigby, idaho.)
we always get the de'mudder in law--turkey, avocado, bacon, and all the vegies you want. holy. best sandwhich ever. then after they make it they toast it, and slather it in butter. mmmm.

best. thing. ever.

me and my sandwich.
I get a 4 inch de'mudder in law on white with thousand island and honey mustard. generous amounts of avocado, tomatoes, olives, cucumber, onions, turkey, bacon, and pickles.
"asian" roommate.
Kristen gets a 4 inch de'mudder in law on white with honey mustard, gator sauce, and thousand island. generous amounts of avocado, turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and onions.
its the best thing since....we discovered it.

later gators.

free photo booth and bridal showers.

the flyer for the party was right, we did have so much fun in that free photo booth.

just so thpethial

explanation of the last picture- we were both supposed to be kissing him on the cheek.
jacquie moved before the picture was taken.
awkward much?

i love this strip. especially the third one down. and the last time.
except there really is more to life than being really, really, really ridiculously good-looking.

we just went to our friend Carly's bridal shower [shoutout to Carly!] it was awesome. bridal showers are fun, especially when they are for girls that are your age. they are crazy. the best comment made was from her sister when talking about playing strip apples to apples...
carly- "how do you play strip apples to apples?!"
sister- "you can play strip anything!"
hahaha! funny funny. we are so excited for you Carly!! :)

tonight we are going to see brooke white and the brocks at some block party. it's going to be fun. imma take a boatload of pictures. yes.

adios!

how the phrase "HOLY" came about.

once upon a time it was 1:45am on a friday night. if you understand BYUI honor code details, you will know that this is past curfew. anyways, on with the story, so kristen and i had just got back from something awesome (we cant remember what we did that night) and we decided WE NEEDED ICECREAM. like, hardcore. so if you know rexburg, you know everything closes at like 11pm. sad day. so we called up our trusty friend "tot" and asked if he had icecream, there was some in his fridge!
So, kristen and i ran out of Lamprecht hall, and opened the LOUDEST gate EVER. holy crap, it scared us and we booked it to the car (and left the gate open).
So it was raining, of course, and we are driving to "winter-rising" (the apartment complex) and the road sucked. bad. it was awful. Kristen, being a california driver, was driving very cautiously ;)
so she is driving and BAM! POTHOLE.
actually i lied it didnt look like that...more like this:
it was huge.
anyways, so we hit this pothole and its pouring rain, and we are both scared out of our pants. kristen screamed "HOLY." and i just screamed. we finally arrived to "winter-rising" and got our icecream and headed back home.
we. are. rebels. and we have cool friends who take part of our craziness. it's great.
moral of the story: we couldn't think of one.

peace out girl scout.
-jswag.

hop up out the bed and turn my swag on.

well hello there.
ever since last night i have been in a super good mood. this morning i woke up super energized [which doesn't normally happen], went to humanities, listened to some classical music and took a test, went to spanish, went to science and learned about dinosaurs [sometimes i think it would be really cool if there were still dinosaurs on earth today, we could domesticize them and stuff...]. anyways, while i was sitting in science, i put my head down and i realized my neck hurt. i wonder why? oh, yeah. its from whipping my hair back and forth last night at the stake dance to this song...

haha. talk about turning my swag on.

there is something about this warm weather and that rexburg idaho does, in fact, have summer that makes life so good.

keep it fresh!

this is what happens when kristen gets hyper

tuesday night, stake dance! sounds fun!? just like it was back when we were 14 years old.
however it turned out to be pretty dang fun. lots of crazy dance moves--we were whipping our hair, stanky leggin it, and of course we had to do the single ladies dance. crazy clean college fun.
anyways, so we get home from shreddin the grass and kc is CRAZY. i mean she is hilarious, saying things that dont make any sense, and she is just plain hyper.
so, as she is talking, i told her i was doing my "church history" homework, but really i was typing everything that she said that was random/funny. here goes:

I like being single. First of all you can dance to single ladies. Second of all, nope I don’t have a second of all.
Have you seen the commercial of the flash mob?! HAHA.

I just ate a lemon fruit-snack with the vanilla cookie and it tasted like a lemon cookie.
I don’t want to go to bed, FETCH (11:49pm)
Can I just, can I just? Please, can you like my comment? ______ is a retard. (see his facebook status for more information)
Well who gets off dropping a mug full of poop on our doorstep!?
I almost just peed my pants, does that ever happen to you?
Have you ever gone to the bathroom and shut the door before you turn on the light and youre just like HOLY its so dark!
"Have you tried picking the lock?" jq: Yeah. "Oh ill try….i don’t know how to pick a lock."
Im really hyper. Come follow me Jacquie.
“that was a cute noise” jq: you were a cute noise. “your mom...mmmphmm!"
You have a peach? No no it is a...nectarine! Because peaches are fuzzy…
*trying to remember the lyrics to Adele* theres a fire…is that how it goes? Im having a hard day.
jq: Do you need the volume up? kc: No I can hear it sufficiently.
I feel like youre writing down all my quotes? …..gay. stop
Im going to pizza pie café tomorrow with all my peeps tomorrow, wanna go?
I don’t know where all those quotes are gonna go, the bloggggg. Like the blobbbb, but the blogggg, get it?
I think cus I danced so crazy tonight  that my endorphins are pumpin

she makes me laughhh.

I'd rather drive the four hours to provo...

saturday night, 9pm.
Kristen and I decided to go to a neon dance party in the caves. sounds fun, right!? well it was fun! so starting our journey we got dressed up all hot and whatnot. and drove past the sand dunes to the civil defense caves. It was a dark and rainy night. unfortunately for us, we had to drive for three miles on a dirt rode out to the ice caves. again, it was RAINING. therefore, we drove three miles on a mud road. holy moly we are both sore from being so tense and nervous about getting stuck! (the car is fine dad, i washed it today too!) anyways so once we finally made it to the caves, after the longest drive ever, we park on the side of the mud road and make our way with kristen's phone lighting the mud path. if any of you know kristen, you know her phone sucks and is older than dirt, so of course it dies within the first 3 minutes of our journey. So here we are, making our way to who knows where, in the dark, and in the mud. fun? We finally find some nice people who share their light with us (gospel analogy?) and make it down the slippery, cold, wet rocks to this hopping neon dance party! the floor is all ice, but the dj was awesome and the men were hot.
good music + good dj + hot men = fun party. So we danced the night away.
now, the whole ordeal starts again as we slowly make our way back UP the slippery, wet, and muddy rocks. We borrow some boy's light and finally make it out of the cave. We are welcomed by huge puddles, and mud like youve never seen. we finally make it to the car, i pulled a fast turn and made it through the small road (because some idiots decided they didn't know how to park correctly). We drove the LONGEST drive back to rexy. We may have almost died, but had a great time.

Kristen and her sad boots
our cute feet, my boots had holes in the bottom..

my socks and car floor mats.

trusty old buick. shes clean now :)

Only in idaho do you go to a college dance party in a cave..
:)
-jwag.
p.s. when we got home i had to throw away my boots, they had mud in them on them and all throughout them, RIP my $20 brown boots.

moonlight sonata

i love all kinds of classical music. in fact, today i listened to frederic chopin on pandora for four hours while doing my homework in the library [yes, i was doing homework for four hours straight today]. but, for my humanities class we are tested on different composers, songs, movements, operas...etc. i have been listening to the same seven songs for the past two hours. as much as i love beethoven, chopin, verdi, wagner, and tchaikovsky...this is quite the classical music overload. talk about a song being "over-played." if i dont do well on this test...i swear.
i really do love classical music though. especially these two songs, they are beautiful. i listen to them a lot. i wish more people appreciated classical music. it really is awesome. it helps me think, even the really intense pieces. in humanities the other day we were listening to beethoven's 9th symphony, and it gave me chills. not too much music can give me chills. it was so beautiful and powerful. i'd much rather do homework to classical music or piano over any other kind of music-hands down.

that's all.

thursday. the day of champions.

it's thursday again, and that means i made eggs that made the whole apartment smelled like eggs. jacquie went to her "social problems" class where she learned...she can't remember. jacquie then went to church history and learned some good stuff about the church in the pacific islands-especially tonga. i went to spanish and learned...well, spanish.then i went to english and analyzed some short stories [a good man is hard to find and two kinds, they are good, check them, yo!]. we both then came home, took amy to the bus stop, went back home, made some food, and finished watching step up 3 [surprisingly good, considering how cheesy it was] jacquie also made some bomb.com banana bread.
thursday also means visiting donna. we had a good experience at donna's today. we sang her children's hymns, girls camp songs, and songs like "i'm a little teapot" and "row row row your boat." oh, and "if i had a little white box." she loved it. it is good being able to bring joy into someone's life, even if it is through small an simple things like making a fool of yourselves while singing and acting out "mama goonie bird" or just listening to their same stories over and over and over again. it is so great to be able to serve like that. then some other "byu kids" came while we were still there. we don't know how we feel about them. here's the story, donna gets "upset" when we tell her we have to go, and she pouts [even though she is kidding, and we know she is]. anyways, she began to do that once bret, jacquie and i told her we had to go. one of the guys who was visiting who donna called "the mexican" [haha] had to make sure we knew she was kidding, and that she wasn't actually mad. yeah, thanks kid, it's not like we've been visiting her since january and we have no idea when she is kidding. come on. we appreciate the other kids visiting her, but she is our "grandma." anyways, we also scored a sweet pan on the "free table." donna gave us permission to take it. it is ideal for pancake making- let me tell you.
we also saw a bride getting her pictures taken on the rexburg temple grounds on the drive home, she was b-e-a-u-tiful.
we are going on a scavenger hunt with trevor and bret tonight, heck yeah!
life is good.

ciao!

p.s
last night jacquie and i watched the brothers grimm last night...bad idea. haha. jacquie just loved that movie. just kidding, she really didn't. i love that movie, but i honestly forgot how completely twisted and creepy it is. anyways, there is a part with the gingerbread man, and we were dying of laughter. it was so funny.
who wouldn't laugh histerically at this?
i also scared jacquie pretty bad. her phone fell in the couch and as she was reaching down to get it i said "there is something in our couch." i have never seen her jump that much. sheer terror. she ended up on the floor crying from laughter and fear. it was great.

that's all.

[kristen] & -jwag-

don't let the tight pants fool you.

we listen to this song everyday. at least twice.

i guess guys in tight pants can make good music.

"well that's cute"

So there is this wonderful lady. her name is weimer, donna jean wilson weimer to be exact. We visit her for about an hour every single tuesday and thursday.
Donna is 82 years old.
Donna, "is older than dirt" as she says.
She got married when she was 17 years old (holy moly!)
Donna loves to dance, sing, and talk to her "byu kids"
she calls kristen 'red on the head'.
she loves having acrylic nails, im now a pro.
she loves when we sing hymns and she loves when we line dance in her tiny apartment.

Rachel, Donna, Jen, Jac, Kristen
When i dyed my hair (from blonde to brunette) i was afraid Donna wouldn't recognize me. I was right. I said "Donna remember me, i used to have blonde hair!" I told her i was the one who always sewed buttons on her towels. she finally remembered. Then she asked why i dyed my hair, as i was explaining my reasoning she exclaimed "YOU CAN'T DO S*** LIKE THAT AT BYU", kcag and i definitely got a good laugh out of that one.
Donna likes to tease us a lot, but we tease her right back :)
If you can't make it to Donnas on tuesday or thursday, the only acceptable excuse she takes is if you say "i was with a boy"--then it is a-okay.
I'm speaking for Kristen now, but Donna has both shown us how to serve, how to swear in german, how to love, how to roll up yarn. By visiting her, our day is better. We become more caring, happier, kinder, and more service oriented.
Do you have an "old-folks home" where you live? you bet ya do. Why not go visit them? They love having visitors, they get lonely. I know it smells like old people and i know their apartments aren't the most clean, but you'll end up getting more out of it then they do.

Donna wearing her "byui-grandma" shirt, our Mothers Day gift to her.
I love Donna Jean. She's our "adopted" grandma and she is the best.

faith.

i've been thinking a lot about faith lately. in my personal scripture study and just my studies in general i feel like faith is something that just keeps on popping up. everything leads back to faith. it is a cool thing. alma 32:21 says, "and now as i said concerning faith, faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things, wherefore if ye have faith, ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true." that is quite honestly the best definition of faith i have yet to find. i think everyone goes through times in their lives when they question their faith. not necessarily their religion or what they believe, but their faith. the extent of their faith. how far they would go for their faith. but especially, how much they can rely on their faith. i've asked myself those questions. sometimes i feel like i don't have enough faith. but then i think about it and i realize how much my life is centered around the gospel of Jesus Christ. i love it. i love every aspect of being a Mormon. there is a quote from Joan of Arc that someone gave me way back in the day and it has always stuck with me. she said,
"Every woman gives her life for what she believes. Every man gives his life for what he believes. Sometimes people believe in little or nothing and yet they give their life to that little or nothing. One life is all we have, and we live it, and then it’s gone. But to give up what we you are and to live without belief is more terrible than dying, even more terrible than dying young."
what an awesome quote. i believe all men have some sort of faith. it all comes down to the matter of whether or not they act on their faith. Kevin W. Pearson said,
"In a household of faith, there is no need to fear or doubt. Choose to live by faith and not fear."

that is some good stuff right there.

pancakes.

kristen- "those pancakes that i made were pretty good if i do say so myself!"
jq- "yeah they were, i enjoyed them quite a bit."
kristen- "...you didn't have any..."

insencerity at its finest.

jac.

kristen here, reporting for duty.

jacquie and i decided to do little "biographies" of eachother. here goes everything-
this is jacquie.
-jacquie has many nicknames, here are a few.
j-swag. j-swagga. j-swaggawagga. j-shwag. jaquiqui. jaqua. jakiki. j-quizzle. jac. jq.
the list could literally go on, but you get the idea.
-jacquie loves animals, especially squirrels. [she gets a really high pitched voice when she sees a cute animal]. one time, we were sitting in our room i was minding my own business, then jacquie screamed fetching bloody murder. you know why? there was a squirrel outside our window. it scared the shazer out of me.
-she makes good food, and bakes like it's the end of the world. her banana bread is to die for.
-she cries when she laughs. i am guilty of making her cry almost on a daily basis. it's a great conversation starter when i tell people i make my roommate cry. haha.
-she LOVES burnt toast...not. i've found her in the fetal position because of burning her toast-not once, not twice, but three times in a row.
-she gets my humor. and i really do appreciate it.
-she has a very dry sarcasm [i don't get it most of the time].
-she is very smart and is really good at applying herself to what she is learning, i wish i was like that. she gets good grades, it's impressive.
-she is an awesome teacher. last semester she taught relief society a couple times, it was awesome. she's a "spiritual beast!"
-she is patient. especially with me. i talk a lot, and she listens so well. sometimes we go to bed at say around 12am, and we don't end up falling asleep until like 1:30am. it's usually due to talking about life, making shadow puppets, or telling knock knock jokes.
-she used to be blonde, but now she is brunette. bold, i know.
-boys fall at her feet. it's quite the sight.
-she hates frogs. she would kill me if i ever brought one into the apartment.
jacquie is awesome.
i am so blessed to have her as my roommate and bestht friend.
that's my roommate!

[kristen]

kristen noel cagle.

this post is little snippet of kc. she's one of the coolest cats i know. here's some fun facts about kcag that most don't people know (i only know because i live with her).

1. she hates winkie faces. with a passion. she says they are "sexual innuendos" and "creepy", what's creepy about this ;) ??
2. she talks in her sleep. ITS HILARIOUS. holy. i now start talking to her, we have full on conversations at 3:30am...and the best part is that she doesnt remember them. once she spoke mandarin chinese, you think im joking? think again.
3. she hates when people touch her. absolutely hates when you touch her feet. she doesnt like touching other people either, "kristen, will you play with my hair?" "will you scratch my back" "i have a horrible knot in my shoulder, can you rub it" NO. NO. NO. its a tough life. fortunately, we just broke the physical barrier!! i can touch her arm..not in a creepy way of course ;) [see #1]
4. she has the stankiest leg youve ever seen. its nar nar for shar shar.
5. she can make the ugliest faces. ever. its amazing.
Sorry for the bluriness :/

6. sometimes she gets addicted to nail polish. and by that i mean she paints her nails a different color at least once every two days. also, her toes are never painted. dont bring it up, she hasnt swallowed that bitter pill yet.

7. she has the gnarliest old man voice youve ever heard. no joke. "NURSEEE, WHERE'S MY APPLESAUCEEE?" "WATERRRRR!" it cracks me up everytime.
8. she can rock pink lipstick so hard.
9. she lives at the library. im not kidding. she will be gone for hours. its insane. poor child. we do go on lots of library dates though...cept we never get anything done (see picture below)
the little man says "hi jacquie!"

10. finally. there is a little sandwich shop about a two minute drive from our apartment. GATOR JACKS. its heaven. in a sandwich. we go there ALL THE TIME. it sums up our friendship. we talk about the weirdest things there. speaking of conversations, people always listen to our conversations. not kidding. but who can blame em? we are pretty dang funny.

oh kristen cagle. she makes my life complete. bestht frendths. shes the blonde from hell. we make a chocolate covered strawberry. you dig it?

hej hej! (that is goobye in danish!)
jwag.

hi, this is us.

shalom aleichem!
jacquie and i [kristen] have finally decided to make a blog, after almost two semesters of knowing eachother, the time has come.
um. yeah. no promises this will be exciting. but anyways, there really isn't a dull moment in our lives. tonight we ran in the hrail storm [hrail-(n) hail and rain]. it was exciting. and cold.
we are both in our second semester at BYU-Idaho, and we love it up here-most of the time. jacquie is studying international studies and i am studying english. it's an exciting time for both of us.  we try not to fall out of our beds. we laugh at everything. jacquie cries at everything. it's hilarious. we've gotten into an argument over the proper prounciation of Dobby, the stupid house elf in harry potter. and we're [hopefully] going to china. that's us.

we live like we're dying. and we'll try to document most of it.

keep it fresh
