the west coast

i love home. espeially home during summertime. since my cousins are here and they aren't the strongest swimmers, i have been designated lifeguard when they swim. this is what happens when i'm in charge...

she was so happy.

we went to san elijo beach campsites the other day...it was so nice.
i love the beach. not to mention the fact that that is a super nice beachtown. we saw one of these pull up to a light while we were waiting for our california burritos [yum]
ferrari italia 458. holy beautiful. the one we saw was red though.
you know you're back in southern california when you see one of those bad boys pull up at a light. i love CA.
i listened to this song a lot before i came home. it rocks.

we're going up to big bear tomorrow- i can't wait. hopefully we can get our boat running though. but even if we don't, we'll just rent kayaks. haha.
who wouldn't love this place?
hmm what else...jacquie went skydiving today, how cool is she?
so i've been listening to the same two songs for the past couple days.
i wanna make you close your eyes- dierks bentley

and farmers daughter -rodney atkins

i love me some good country music.
that's all i have.

ta ta for now!

home! with only brothers!

ah, Bakersfield. I love being home! It is grand. I got to jump in the pool, play with the cats and the dog, watch all the tv i want (a dvr!!), and i got to sleep however long i wanted.
sadly, this morning i woke up at 8am. I guess that is 9am Idaho time, but really? my first day of vacation. sheesh.
Anyways, so not all my family is home. My older sister Marissa is in Germany and my Dad, Mom, and little sister Andrea are at Girls Camp. So yes, im home with the brothers, Kevin and Riley. Kevin is 21 and Riley is 15 and a half.
holy.
my mom told me when i got home that the house would be spotless. hah. yeah. that was far from true. stuff all on the kitchen counters, dishes stacked high in the sink, cats and dog don't have any food...so on so forth.
however, i brought home Krispy Kreme doughnuts for them. yeah, thats right, im the best sister ever. Conner and Jack (Riley's friends) were here too, so i told them all they could have a doughnut if they unloaded my car for me :) it worked!
but anyways, its been fun with my brothers. lots of espn, more than enough fowl smells to make up my 3+ months away from them, and of course much laughter .

Funny things to remember that im home with only boys:
-the fridge is empty. both begged me to go to the grocery store to buy food
-the trash can consisted of an empty pizza box, empty mini doughnut box, mac and cheese box, etc.  it looks more like a college trash can during finals week...
-this morning Kevin and i woke up around the same time: he got some cereal and then after he poured the milk he opened the silverware drawer to get a spoon. He exclaimed in horrid disappointment, "THERE'S NO SPOONS!!!"....I proceded to tell him, "Kevin, the dishwasher is clean.." He then said, "oh, its been clean all week". hah. boys.
-there's only 2% milk in the fridge. arg.
-espn has been on approximately for 7 of the 10 hours i've been home and awake
-and we all watched family guy last night. good laughs. Here's my favorite parts of the episode we watched last night:
http://youtu.be/x_aKZSTo34w
then....

HAHA. i hope you enjoyed that. gotta love the cookie monster :)

well im off to get tan! or im off to get skin cancer as kcag says!
peath out

p.s. kc. i miss thee.

and we blew it up.

saturday night kristen and i went to:
best fro yo
then we walked over to the boy's apartment at sunrise. We got in the cars and drove for eh, about an hour ish, to the middle of nowhere (actually the other side of the sand dunes). We then got out, and hiked through the sand with a propane tank, gatorade bottles full of gasoline, wood, a few guns and roman candles.
This is how it went down. Propane tank, wood around it, gasoline poured on it, Steve and Mikey set of the roman candle to light it on fire (from a safe distance of course) and then Matt who was up on a different dune had his gun and shot the propane tank. Us girls were standing far away, to be safe :)
Sadly, the propane tank was hard to see without a scope on the gun and the propane leaked a ton before it blew up. However, it did blow up eventually!
Here it is:
only in Idaho...

mischief managed

we saw Harry Potter 7 part 2 last night...well this morning at 3am. it's a weird thing going into a theater when it's dark and coming out when the sun is coming up. i am running off of 1.5 hours of sleep right now. party on.
anyways, it was SUCH A GOOD MOVIE. so good it deserved all caps.
here's the trailer...
i teared up a bit during the movie. it was just so epic.
but we all felt sad after it ended because that was our childhood basically. we all grew up reading harry potter and wathcing the movies and now it is all over.
how sad.

a river, a lake, broken keys, and horses.

jeLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

last night matt [shoutout!] texted jacquie around 9pmish asking if we wanted to go float down the snake river. being a bunch of guys, they naturally gave us 10 minutes to get ready- but we are women, so it was no problem.
so, we get to their apartment and head down to rigby and drop a car off and all pile in the truck. we got the tubes all pumped up and ready to go, and we were on our way. jacquie, kristen, and amy got the cool tube that fits 3 people on it, not dryly, but it does. and we were off. it was fantastic.
we floated down a little bit, got out of the river and went to go hangout in rigby lake. the lake water was so warm! the river was pretty cold, but it wasn't too bad. we were at the lake for a while. then we got back into the river. while we were getting in, kristen totally ate it on the muddy slope. it was funny.
so we float and float. kristen almost got flipped off the tube for splashing steve in the face...whoops. all the while, we are trying to stay where the boys are telling us to go, but apparantly we suck at steering an intertube. so we run into a couple of bushes and trees. we may or may not have popped our tube. no big deal.
this is where it gets exciting, so we had to get out of the river right before a bridge. we had a hard time getting all the way over and we just kept floating. thus began the screaming and laughing and mikey yelling, "oh, CRAP!" when he realized we weren't stopping. so they saved us, jacquie and amy were having a hard time keeping solid footing and almost got swept down the river. jacquie also lost her sandals. sad day. kristen was just laughing the whole time- it was SO funny. we finally got back to the car and they left to go get the truck. so we're just hanging out waiting for them to get back. when they came back they were all still in one car because as it turns out the spare key to the truck wouldnt work so we had to all cram [all 9 of us]into matt's 5-seater car and drive back to rexy, which is like a 10 minute drive.
kristen's car keys were in the truck so we couldn't really go home without getting back into the truck...so we had to drive back with the boys so they could pry the door open- they did. talk about hanging out with a bunch of mcgyvers.
this is where it gets crazy. while we were driving back with matt the car in front of us slows down, puts on his emergency flashers, and pulls over. want to know why? there were like 5 horses just hanging out in the middle of the freeway. horses! a baby one too! one of them was blinded by our headlights and it came towards our car, we thought it was going to hit us so matt had to honk. only in idaho...

long story short- last night rocked.

one thing we're going to miss about idaho is the outdoorsie stuff there is to do here. we don't do this kind of stuff back home in good ol CA. we'll also miss our crazy utah'n friends.

"i love you" in sign language

and thats what you get for breaking the honor code.

holla! its jacquie here, im sorry i don't post as often as kc does.
ANYWAYS. sooo tonight, we were full of energy, naturally we go to the drive through at donalds (mcdonalds, but our friend amy calls it donalds, so we do too now) and kc gets a mcflurry and i get a sundae. mmm :)
then we saw trevor siting in cassi's dorm. so naturally we decided to creep.
we crawl over there, kc puts her hand in their door (it was open) and i put my face right up to the window.
scared the shazer out of them :)
Cassi's great quote, "Oh H-no!" haha. that girl.
anyways, so we are hyper sooo we are running back to our apartment (well i am and kc is walkin) and we decide to go to the upper lounge to check out the free table (since the semester is almost over, people put all the stuff they don't want on the table and its a free for all).
SO, we get to the door and i open it up and scream BLOODY MURDER (so i can scare kristen, naturally.) right after i scream i say, "wouldnt it be funny if someone was in here", then i preceeded to turn on the light.
you  guessed it. a couple. on the couch. making out.
not only had i scared the crap out of them by screaming, but i then turned on the lights. they turned around and the guy said, "oh hey guys..."
i instantly screamed a little turned off the lights, shut the door and ran out laughing my head off.
our abs hurt so bad.
i guess thats what you get for breaking the honor code...

-jwag.

que embarazoso!

i had a couple of embarassing moments tonight...
1. during fhe we were throwing a frisbee around and i "threw" it...and it kind of just fell out of my hands. whoops.
2. i was at the boys apartment, and we were talking about tasers and phasers. i asked if phasers were legal, bret then replied with "...phasers are from star trek..." we had a good laugh.
3. we then played soccer. me+soccer=bad. anyways, the ball came to me and what do i do? put my had up to stop it. it happened not once, but twice. how embarassing.

but, my main man christian bale once said, "I learned that there's a certain character that can be built from embarrassing yourself endlessly. If you can sit happy with embarrassment, there's not much else that can really get to you."
so true.

tales of a solid weekend.

hullo, it's been a while, no?

friday- friday started with me studying in the library for 5 hours. i only got half of my poject done- if that. man. then we went to trevor's championship soccer game. it was so exciting. they won, of course [hawks shoutout!] it was a good game, there were a few yellowcards and also someone got thrown outta the game! he was playing dirty, so he deserved it. to make it even better- there was a few guys with vuvuzuelas. those things are loud.

HAWKS! champions

after the game we went to buffalo wild wings in idaho falls- that place is open till 1AM! [nothing in rexburg is open past like 11pm] we ate. and ate. and ate. it was amazing. we also took an asian picture, since nate is a natural asian [not really] so we had to.

saturday- i went to the temple in the morning, it was incredible. i love that place.

then i went to the bbq we had for donna. it was fun. there were some good conversations...cough cough...after the bbq i went home and started to pack. i am almost all packed. wahooooo!! 12 DAYS UNTIL HOME!!! i can't wait, can't you tell? then i took a nap. while i was sleeping my phone kept going off then when i finally woke up we went out to the dunes to have a fire. it was fun. on the way home we listened to this song...i freaking love this song.

and now it's sunday- the best day of the week. i forget how much i love sundays until i focus on what sundays are all about. relief society was good...the lesson was on families and such. kind of cheesy, but that's a-ok. gospel doctrine was SO GOOD. the teacher, tom, is just awesome. he gets so excited about the lessons he teaches. he showed this talk from elder Jeffrey R Holland. it is one of my favorites.
sacrament meeting was good too. all of the talks were on enduring to the end. our friend, ben, gave an awesome talk. i loved it. it was so good.

anyways, this weekend has been quite a solid weekend. life is good!

ouch.

last night we explored the ice caves. while there i ate it pretty hard and hit my knee on a rock. it's swollen now and hurts like a mother. can you sprain your knee from hitting it ridiculously hard on a rock?
those caves are "seriously so chill." best night of the semester, hands down.

houston, we have a problem.

it is finally summer in rexburg! we thought this day would never come!!
however, it is bittersweet because we don't have air conditioning.
yeah. 95 degrees. HOLY HOT. we are both dying.
kristen just made smoothies, they are nice and cold.
i miss the a.c.

-jwag.

oh, shoot.

it kind of just hit me that my final project in my english 251 class is worth 210 points...oh my word. that's a lot of points. i'm going to die in the library getting it done, i am sure of it.

nice knowing you.

i dont give a [fill in the blank]

helloooooooo!
we havent posted in a while so we figured we'd post something. although we really have nothing to post about. we had a fire last night out in the dunes, we had some good conversations. haha. we also met a cool federal police officer/ranger who talked to us for like 20 minutes about nothing, it was pretty cool. he didn't give us a ticket or anything unlike all the other people who were out there. so it was sweet.
its 4th of july weekend. that means we've been hearing fireworks and all that nonsense every night. its cool. fireworks rock- but they are illegal apparantly. we thought everything was legal in idaho...
we only have 2 full weeks left up here. it's bitter sweet, but we both are stoked to go home. :)

question: if you could pick anyone to be the president (given he/she is a US citizen and alive), who would you choose?
answer: jacquie- some pakistani guy who is dead and not a US citizen.
kristen- george clooney (it was the first name that popped into my head, dont hate)

that was one of our discussions last night around the fire. deep stuff, we know.

[kristen & jac]

ps, the title came about when i asked jacquie what we should call this post, and she said "i dont give a ___" you fill in the blank yourself.
